Sink and bathroom waste discharging against the wall instead of into the gully is one of the most common faults I am called out to look at around here, and it is usually a surveyor who spots it rather than the owner. It soaks the brickwork, takes the pointing with it, and then reads as damp on a survey. Cheap to put right, expensive to leave.
Flow rate before anyone talks about a combi
Mains flow varies street to street, and a combi or an unvented cylinder only performs above a certain figure. I measure it at the kitchen tap before I quote, rather than fit the boiler and let you find out afterwards that two showers is one too many.

Everything else
Gas safety record on its own £99 for the first appliance, £10 each extra. Leak detection and trace £180, covering travel and the first 90 minutes, with a written report for an insurer at £60. Cancellation or missed appointment £66.
Fixed-price bookings made online — the £105 service and the £132 call-out — take the full amount at the time of booking, and that payment is the whole price for the visit. Quoted work such as a boiler install or a bathroom takes 50% at booking with the balance on completion.
