Trade rates
All trade figures on this page exclude VAT. You are a business, so I quote you the way you price your own work.

A day is 8 hours on site, excluding breaks. Hours beyond eight are £65 + VAT. I work a four-day week, so a full week on site is four consecutive days — and booking the full week gets you the best rate. Worth knowing when you build your programme: a “two-week” plumbing element is eight of my days, all at the full-week rate.
Saturdays are plus 25%. Sundays and bank holidays plus 50%. Travel is included within 10 miles of BL2 2TA, then £25 + VAT per day between 10 and 15 miles. Every site needs to be inside that 15-mile area.
On repeat work, ask me to price it rather than day-rate it. Twelve plots of the same type is the wrong job for a day rate — it charges you for my learning curve and gives me no reason to get quicker. I would rather do one at day rate, measure it properly, then give you a fixed price per plot you can carry into your own tender.

Tell me your postcode and what you need. You get the price before anyone sets off.
How I work
- 14 days, no retention, no contra charges. The rates are priced on that basis.
- Deviation Notices. Where you need it done differently to how I would do it, I write it down the same day and get on with it.
- I certify my own work, and only my own. Every first fix is pressure tested and you get the record.
- CIS registered. Invoices split labour and materials so the deduction applies to labour only.
